ABET Accreditation
The College of Charleston is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
The Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs at the College of Charleston were developed to comply with the additional ABET-EAC (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology - Engineering Accreditation Commission) accreditation guidelines with input from several consultants in Academia and Industry. While these programs are not yet ABET accredited, our goal is to officially receive ABET accreditation for Systems Engineering in 2025 (applied retroactively to 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 graduates), and for Electrical Engineering in 2026 (applied retroactively to 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 graduates).
