Sculpture
Begin your journey into the world of sculpture by mastering the fundamental concepts of 3-D form. As you progress through the program, you'll have the chance to work on complex, technical projects independently. Our extensive sculpture facility is fully equipped with traditional plaster, metalworking, and woodshop tools, as well as unconventional approaches such as kinetic art and installations.
Our Public Art course offers a unique opportunity for students to design and build large-scale sculptures that will be installed in the Charleston metropolitan area. To keep up with the latest trends, we are now introducing new elements to our curriculum, including ceramics and computer-aided fabrication techniques like laser cutting and 3D printing.
