Parent & Family Resources

Connect & engage with College of Charleston

Your student will be leaving home, maybe for the first time. This is a big milestone.

Parents and families play an important role in their student's journey. You're a mentor. A coach. A sounding board.

We want you to feel as connected to what's going on with your student and the College as possible.

College of Charleston Parent & Family Experience

This online portal is your place to find information about:

  • campus resources.
  • important dates.
  • announcements.
  • ways to support your student.

You can customize your portal to receive information that is relevant to you and your student. You can also adjust the frequency with which you receive notifications.

How do you sign up?

You'll visit the login page and use your email to sign up. Answer a few questions and your profile will be complete. If you don't receive the welcome email, check your "junk" or "spam" folder.

Critical information

In addition to information about important dates and campus resources, this portal is how New Student Orientation will post information. If your student is planning to enroll at the College, it's important that you sign up for the Parent & Family Experience.

Family Orientation

Don't miss out on the opportunity to attend Family Orientation. During this time, we cover topics related to:

  • Student health and wellness.
  • Using the Career Center.
  • Academic resources.
  • Understanding Financial Aid.
  • Living on campus.

If your student did not sign you up to attend Family Orientation when they registered for orientation or you're not sure, call New Student Programs at 843.953.2017 or email orientat@cofc.edu to register.

The College Today

You can also subscribe to The College Today, the College of Charleston's new website.
