Systems and Project Director

Bert Schewel (Class of 2014) serves as the Systems and Project Director for the Office of the Provost, providing front-end administrative oversight for select divisional software and for key processes. Bert works closely with the Associate Provost for Academic and International Programs on curriculum development, ensuring compliance with the Commission on Higher Education. He also oversees the faculty credentialing process under the supervision of the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs. Bert serves as the Faculty Secretariat, supporting the leadership of faculty governance through the facilitation of regular senate meetings and the maintainance of senate records.

Bert earned his bachelor's degree in Classics at the College of Charleston in 2014, and began working in the Office of the Provost after completing his Ph.D. in the same field at Fordham University in 2021. In addition to his role in the Office of the Provost, Bert serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Classics.
