Transfer Student Leadership Council

The Transfer Student Leadership Council is an initiative of the Division of Student Affairs and the Office for Student Success at the College of Charleston. All members of the Transfer Council have transferred to the College, which gives them a unique perspective on the challenges new transfer students encounter. The Transfer Council works to promote support programs for transfer students and provides a representative voice for this population on campus.

Student input from the Council is essential for our institution to help transfer students find a sense of belonging, finish strong, and explore their future opportunities.

Purpose

  • To create a council of transfer students who engage in meetings 3 times per semester to foster a stronger connection to the College and to each other
  • To gather their input and feedback on topics related to their student experience
  • To connect students with leadership at the College
