Research
Yeimy Roberto is interested in prosody, intonation, and Spanish phonology. Her research explores how intonation interacts with information structure and regional differences in Colombian Spanish. Yeimy is also interested in Second Language Acquisition practices by leading in-class research on written media and self-led feedback. She has also contributed to the linguistic field by designing and leading workshops on intonation technologies at Universidad Industrial de Santander and Universidad de Nariño in Colombia. Yeimy is also interested in using programming languages such as Python to enhance data labeling. Lastly, Yeimy has experience in interpreting medical missions and translating community education courses and information sheets for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration initiative.
