Mike Hamilton is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Methods in the College of Charleston’s Department of Teacher Education. Before pursuing his doctorate, Mike taught high school mathematics for six years in Nashville, TN. As an educator, Mike is most passionate about supporting the growth and development of both prospective and practicing teachers. His research primarily focuses on how authority relations operate in math classrooms, math teachers’ beliefs, and teacher development. When off campus, he is likely chasing one (or all) of his four kids around the house, enjoying the outdoors, or watching a sporting event.
