A gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund ensures our students have the financial aid they need, our faculty has the support required, and we have the facilities to support the transformational learning and research both deserve. Below are two initiatives that we pledge to support through the Dean’s Excellence Fund this year.
Student Internships, Practicums, and Credentialing Expenses
Many of our students are required to participate in practicums and internships locally, nationally, and internationally, and incur expenses associated with professional exams, credentialing applications, fingerprinting, background checks, and mileage. Your support will help relieve some of the financial burden placed on these students while they complete an internship or practicum, as well as apply for professional credentialing/certification.
External Partnerships
Collaboration with external partners is essential and solidifies College of Charleston’s position as a source of life-long learning for students, employees, and community members. Your generosity will support new and emerging partnerships focused on diversity, global health, and innovations in teacher education.
