Taught in a hybrid format, the course can be attended in person or virtually. Using the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (SHRM-BASK) and the SHRM Learning System, the course incorporates practice tests, group discussions, and question breakdowns to ensure preparation.

College of Charleston is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities.
