Undergraduate Student Registration

The registration entry date schedule is based on earned hours. This does not include the hours in which you are currently enrolled.

Starting on your assigned registration time/day, you can register via the Registration Tools Tile in MyPortal.

Spring 2027

 

Registration for Spring 2027 begins on Tuesday, October 27 by assigned entry date for all currently enrolled degree-seeking undergraduate students. Registration is based on Classification and Hours Earned and do NOT include hours currently registered. 

Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time on the designated dates listed below.

Tuesday, October 27: All Seniors (90+ Earned Hours)

Wednesday, October 28: Juniors: Honors, Veterans, ADA Accommodations, MUSC Pathways, Charleston Ambassadors (60-89 Earned Hours) ; All Athletes, excluding club sports (0-89 Earned Hours)

Thursday, October 29: Juniors (75-89 Earned Hours)

Friday, October 30: Juniors (60-74 Earned Hours)

Monday, November 2: - Sophomores: Veterans, ADA Accommodations, MUSC Pathways, Charleston Ambassadors (30-59 Earned Hours); Honors (0-59 Earned Hours)

Wednesday, November 4: Sophomores (50-59 Earned Hours)

Thursday, November 5: Sophomores (40-49 Earned Hours)

Friday, November 6: Sophomores (30-39 Earned Hours)

Monday, November 9: Freshman: Veterans, ADA Accommodations, MUSC Pathways, Charleston Ambassadors (0-29 Earned Hours) 

Tuesday, November 10: Freshman (20-29 Earned Hours)

Wednesday, November 11: Freshman (1-19 Earned Hours)

Thursday, November 12: Freshman (0 Earned Hours) 

Check your classification and current Earned Hours and register at the appropriate time.

Registration Tools are available each day from 7:30 AM to 11:59 PM. 

 

Non-degree seeking students may register for classes once degree-seeking students have had an opportunity to register. Registration windows for non-degree seeking students will open open at the start of the three-week period prior to the first day of class. For Spring 2027 Non-Degree undergraduate students can start registering on December 21, 2026. 

Registration Tools for 60+ South Carolina Resident students will be available on the first day of the semester, January 11, 2027.

 

Preparing Your Registration Plan

Don’t wait until the last minute to begin preparing your registration plan!  First year students and first semester TR and any student who has not yet declared a major should contact the Academic Advising and Planning Center at 843.953.5981 for an appointment.

If you are in the Honors Program or a student athlete, contact your advisors in those areas for an advising appointment.

Declared upper-class students and transfer students beyond their first semester should contact their faculty advisor(s) for an advising appointment

Students should also be sure to satisfy any registration holds on their account. Check My Portal the day before your registration for active holds. 

Graduate Student Registration

 

Spring 2027

Registration for Spring 2027 begins on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, for all Degree and Certificate seeking graduate masters and doctoral students. Registration Tools in My Portal are available from 7:30 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. everyday.

Non-Degree Graduate students registration opens Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
