Intentional AI: Quality Enhancement Plan

Preparing students to become ethical and critically literate global citizens in an AI-driven world

Intentional AI means using artificial intelligence thoughtfully, responsibly and with a clear understanding of its capabilities and limitations.

At the College of Charleston, students learn to approach AI with intention while developing the knowledge, skills and ethical awareness needed to use artificial intelligence responsibly.

The QEP helps students obtain this knowledge and awareness through material presented in their first semester on campus and throughout their programs.

Preparing Graduates for an AI-Driven Future

Graduates who understand both the power and limitations of artificial intelligence are better prepared to succeed in today's workplace. Through intentional AI education, College of Charleston students develop critical thinking, ethical reasoning and technological awareness that prepares them for a world increasingly shaped by AI.
