Pre-Law Advising
Guidance and Support to Prepare You for Law School
Like most colleges and universities, the College of Charleston does not offer an actual "pre-law" major.
Instead, we encourage you to major in an academic subject that meets your interests and career goals. You should choose a major that provides the academic rigor to gain admission to law school, and one that connects to your legal career aspirations.
We supplement what you learn in your major with guidance and support on preparing for, and applying to law school.
Remember: You can major in any subject and still enter law school.
Popular majors, minors and courses for pre-law students include the Politics, Philosophy, and Law Concentration from the Department of Political Science as well as our Crime, Law and Society minor.
