Performance/Recording Highlights
Lipton is the Principal Clarinet of the North Charleston POPS! Orchestra. Lipton is also the founder of the Kleztonians, which specializes in a fusion of traditional Jewish music. Lipton has been supported by the National Endowment of the Arts for his compositions. Each summer he presents his works at festivals from Charleston SC to San Diego, Calif.
At El Sistema, El Salvador, Lipton helped in building the conservatory’s chamber music program with the nonprofit MUSAID. Lipton is also a certified yoga instructor and blends yoga breathing and stretching into his teachings. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of North Florida and completed his Master of Music degree in Performance from the Jacob’s School of Music, Indiana University. Lipton’s greatest joy is sharing his talent and passion with other musicians, students and audiences of all ages.
