Supervisor Toolkit
The Supervisor's Toolkit is designed to provide supervisors with resources, tools, and guidance for many of the HR issues you are involved with, and should be used in addition to the additional resources that the College provides for supervisors via the Supervisor Certificate Programs.
Within the toolkit you will find resources for:

Supervisor Certificate Programs
Supervisors play an important role in supporting the College’s strategic missions and contributing to their team’s development and well-being. Supervisors are expected to excel in the areas of communication, assessment, team building, conflict resolution, and customer service, among many others. As part of our ongoing strategic efforts aimed at employee satisfaction and training, the College is offering two Certificate programs, which will provide education and developmental opportunities to support our supervisors in their daily efforts. Additionally, free webinars and other educational resources will be offered through various approved providers for interested employees.
Supervisor Essentials Certificate Program
The Supervisor Essentials Certificate Program is open to all supervisors of staff in a supervisory position at the College of Charleston. It consists of ten (10) courses with multiple options for participation and completion. Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of all 10 courses.
The Supervisor Essentials Certificate Program is only open to supervisors of staff. Non-supervisors are not permitted in this program.
Courses should be completed within 18 months of hire into a supervisory position.
