Chad Stewart


Adjunct Professor

Chad Stewart received both his M.A. in History, and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from Clemson University, where his research explored American and European country house architecture. 

His research interests include decorative arts, material culture, and historic architecture of the South Carolina Lowcountry. His current project is an article titled ""Just Imported:" Clocks and Clockmakers of Charleston, 1680-1830" which is due in print in 2025. He currently serves as Curator of History for The Charleston Museum, ("America's First Museum"), founded in 1773.
