Michael Ferguson

Adjunct Professor

Michael Ferguson received both his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Western Connecticut State University, where he studied History and Political Science.

His research areas focus on American political history, particularly within the 20th Century. He has done extensive research on the relationship between Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Michael appreciates the chance for students to make connections between the role past events have had on our present moment, while also understanding the context of historical decisions.

Originally from Connecticut, Michael previously served as a State Representative in the Connecticut General Assembly. He has presented at various conferences and recently published an anthology textbook focused on American Government and History.
