Sally Lacoste
Adjunct Instructor of French
Sally Lacoste teaches French for professional contexts, drawing on her experience living and working in France in the background screening industry. An alumna of the College of Charleston, she is passionate about connecting language learning to real-world professional contexts and helping students develop practical communication skills for global careers. Her study abroad experience in La Rochelle profoundly shaped her trajectory; she has now been living in France for over five years.
In addition to teaching French, she has taught English across a range of academic and professional settings in France. These experiences inform her pedagogical approach, which emphasizes cultural fluency, adaptability, and the applied use of language in authentic contexts.
Professionally, she specializes in data protection and background screening. She regularly speaks on topics such as cross-border hiring, credential verification, and the evolving future of work.
