Research Interest
Ruotolo studies materials and technologies for electronic device applications. Materials include metals, oxides and 2D semiconductors showing properties such as magnetism, superconductivity and controllable phase change. Technology includes nanolithography techniques for electronic device integration such as Ultra Violet-, Electron Beam- and Focused Ion Beam-lithography. Devices include sensors, neuromorphic diodes, transistors and radio-frequency oscillators.
