Involvement in CAB helps you gain hands-on event planning & coordination experience. (Plus, you'll plan parties for a living!) We offer opportunities for paid executive board positions as well as volunteers.

  • CAB History

    The Cougar Activities Board was created in the spring of 1980. Previously, the Entertainment Committee of SGA handled the programming for the campus, but as our campus grew, so did the need to develop a board whose primary focus was programming. Although our name has changed many times over the years (College Union Board, College Activities Board, Cougar Productions), our goal has always remained the same: to provide premier, FREE programming to all CofC students.

     MAINSTAGE

    Live Entertainment highlighting music, comedy, hypnotists, mentalists, talent shows, open mic-nights, etc)

     SPECIAL EVENTS

    Traditional events, dance parties, game shows, trivia nights, bingo nights, movies, video game tournaments

     COMMUNITY & CONNECTION EVENTS

    Small community-builders; dinner parties; resource drives; impactful, topical, discussion-based events

     DAYTIME

    Novelties, make & takes, crafts, daytime performers, trips & community events, commuter engagement

     COLLABORATION

    Not a part of CAB? No problem! Apply for a co-sponsorship and we’ll help your organization’s next big event happen!
