Strategic Communication & PR: Student Project Spotlight

The COMM Agency Capstone functions as a student-led advertising agency working with real life clients and brands, including the internationally known Charleston Wine+Food Festival.

Working as one virtual agency [with on-site obligations for client work], student teams enact the strategic planning process to create research-based, comprehensive campaign efforts that meets the client’s greatest communication needs.

The capstone begins with intensive secondary and primary research including environmental scanning, organizational research, issues examination, and industry exploration. Based on the insights gleaned from the research phase, students generate realistic goals and measurable objectives that provide the foundation for campaign strategy and tactics.
