CRS Student Staff Awards

Prior to 2020 only one award was given annually, the CRS Meritorious Service Award, and only a few could qualify.  Given that other student employees excel in their roles and contribute in other meaningful ways, two other awards of appreciation were created to recognize their valued service to the program.  They are named the Top Cat award and the Circle of Excellence award.

CRS Meritorious Service Award

The CRS Meritorious Service Award remains our highest recognition earned by a very select few Campus Recreation Services student staff who demonstrated exemplary performance and dedicated service to the College of Charleston community.

Top Cat Award

Awarded for those few whose top-notch performance delivered within any area of the Campus Recreation Services program was considered critical in helping our department meet its mission.

Circle of Excellence Award

Awarded to those on our staff who served the Campus Recreation Services program for 3 or more years.  The length of service is a key to the award but it goes without saying that these persons assumed a level of ownership in the program and delivered on that promise.
