Parag Desai- Advisor

Parag Desai holds a B.A. in English ('18) and M.A. in Writing Studies ('20) at Coastal Carolina University, a CELTA from Teaching House-University of Cambridge ('21) and most recently completed a 10-month AmeriCorps service term ('24) in rural, Northwest Montana as the Community Involvement Coordinator at Flathead Valley Community College.

Desai programmed and facilitated efforts toward college persistance, civic engagement, and multiculturalism via partnerships with local non-profits, government agencies and collaboration across campus departments to provide first-generation, low-income college students and students with disabilities with the resources and experiences necessary to lead meaningful and successful lives on campus and beyond with an eye towards community service.

Desai, himself, is a first-generation college graduate of immigrant parents, so his mission to advance educational equity for college students is reflective of his personal experiences. His hobbies include all things soccer and studying psychonalysis.
