About Casey Courtney

Casey Courtney- Academic Advisor

Casey joins the Academic Advising and Planning Center after spending the past two years working both in Admissions and as the Director of Esports for his alma-mater Lees-McRae College. Graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Performing Arts Studies he then attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for coursework towards an M.F.A in Technical Direction. With his extensive experience in the performing arts and higher education Casey hopes to provide a supportive environment for advisees to explore opportunities and maximize their time at the College of Charleston. Previously living in the mountains of western North Carolina he is excited to make the transition to coastal life and explore everything Charleston has to offer. Outside of academia Casey is an avid rock climber, hiking enthusiast, and lifelong gamer. After spending the previous two years working to develop collegiate Esports in western NC he is excited to continue his work in SC and stay involved in all things gaming!
