Overnight On-Campus Experiences

MULTICULTURAL OVERNIGHT VISIT EXPERIENCE (M.O.V.E.)
Get to know the College of Charleston. M.O.V.E. provides students of color with the opportunity to experience and get a feel for what life is like at the College of Charleston.
- Spend the night in Charleston - the College's living-learning laboratory.
- Meet faculty, staff and current students.
- Enjoy engaging workshops and presentations.
- Meet potential future Cougars much like you!
- Visit a class, tour our beautiful campus, dine in downtown Charleston and learn about inclusion at the College.
Applications for M.O.V.E. are restricted to high school juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.8. M.O.V.E. is free of charge and space is limited.

Junior Project
A week-long, summer college preparatory program, Junior Project serves AALANA and first generation students who are rising high school juniors.
2024 Dates: June 23-26, 2024- Spend four days and three nights on campus.
- Interact with current College of Charleston students.
- Attend interactive leadership workshops.
- Learn valuable time management, writing and essay skills.
- Experience all Charleston has to offer!
Note: Applicants are not automatically admitted to Junior Project; you must first apply and be accepted into the program.
Application Deadline: May 31, 2024
Your completed application will include the online program application, your high school transcripts, and standardized test scores (optional). Please upload these documents into the application.Program Fee: $250 (Payable upon acceptance to the program. Information on submitting the program fee and participation forms will be provided with an email upon your acceptance to the program.)

Senior Project
A weeklong, summer college preparatory program, Senior Project serves AALANA and first generation students who are rising high school seniors.
2024 Dates: July 14-18, 2024
Over the course of five days and four nights on campus, program participants and parents will:
- Interact with current College of Charleston students.
- Attend a college class and interactive workshops.
- Learn valuable time management, writing and essay skills.
- Go on a campus tour.
- Visit academic departments.
- Attend a parent workshop (on check-in day).
- Attend a one-on-one admission counseling session.
- Experience all Charleston has to offer.
- Complete a College of Charleston admission application: Be the first to apply to College of Charleston!
Application Deadline: July 1, 2024
Your completed application will include the online program application, and application essay. Please upload these documents into the application.

OTTO B. GERMAN MALE MINORITY INITIATIVE (MMI)
This free event is for high school juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.8. Seniors must have applied to the College to be considered for this event.
It's your opportunity to join other minority males to experience the College of Charleston.
While you're here, you will:
- Attend workshops and develop your academic and personal skills.
- Engage in social activities with MMI participants and College of Charleston students.
- Learn about how the College supports minority students.
- Spend the night in a residence hall.
