Mindy Miley
Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Engagement
Mindy has been with the College of Charleston since 1991. She has served in several areas, including the Career Center, Financial Assistance & Veterans Affairs, Orientation, the Academic Success and Retention Office, the Registrar, and the Office of New Student Programs.
As Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Engagement, she leads the Office of New Student Programs and supervises the director staff, manages parent communication and engagement efforts, works on collaborative retention initiatives, and serves as EMCEE for Family Orientation. As a member of the Enrollment Planning division, Mindy's primary focus is on student success and retention, parent and family outreach, and ensuring that students have opportunities to grow, develop, and achieve their goals.
Mindy has mentored CofC faculty preparing to teach online and has served as a First-Year Experience (FYE) and Learning Strategies instructor. She is one of the authors of two textbooks - Destination Success and Peer Today and Peer Educator Tomorrow. Other areas of professional involvement include being a conference presenter, facilitating numerous webinars, and participating in various committees across the divisions. She has received several service awards, including the Outstanding Staff Member Presidential Service Award, the College of Charleston's most prestigious award, and the Assessment Leadership Award.
Mindy's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Marketing from Charleston Southern University (formerly Baptist College), a Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel with additional coursework in Secondary Education and English, and work completed in the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program from the University of Phoenix.
