Dr. Smith's academic research is highly interdisciplinary, exploring intersections between Women’s and Gender Studies, film, literature, pedagogy and pilgrimage. Most of her recent research is in the field of Pilgrimage Studies.

Courses Taught
Dr. Smith currently teaches French 201 and FYSE 141. In the past, she taught a wide range of courses in French, Spanish, and Women's and Gender Studies.
