About Ana Lavado
Ana Lavado
Academic Advisor
My name is Ana Maria Lavado, and I am an academic advisor at the Academic Advising and Planning Center. I’m originally from Myrtle Beach, SC but moved around a lot growing up – I’ve lived in North Carolina, Illinois, England, and Spain. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with an Honors B.A. in English and a minor in Art History. I spent my junior year studying abroad at the University of Exeter in England and loved it over there so much that I returned for my M.A. in Medieval Studies at the University of York in England. I am excited to be a part of CofC to not only help students succeed in their academic goals but to help them take advantage of all the wonderful and unique opportunities they have available during their time here! Some of my favorite things to do when I’m not at the beach are reading (fantasy and historical fiction are my favorite genres), traveling, checking out local coffee shops/restaurants, crocheting, and playing board games/Dungeons & Dragons with my husband and friends.
